Andrew donned the suit in a total of three films, most recently playing it again in last year’s film Spider-Man: There’s No Way Home in which past and present Spideys, Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland joined forces.

“I remember wanting Spider-Man years ago and being so excited, and that was the year Andrew Garfield got it. He was obviously the right one,” she revealed.

“I remember it was a big deal at the time, I applied for a recall,” she said, explaining that she already had one foot in the door thanks to her connections with the film’s director, Marc Webber, who had previously worked on music videos. .

Looking back on the experience, Joe reflected on the difficulties of Hollywood rejection and how to overcome it, saying, “Right now, you’re going to die or lose. But you’ll figure it out [the person who got the part] it was brilliant.”

Regardless of the outcome, the singer said he still loved the opportunity to grow as an actor during the casting process.

“But you know what? I love the audition process and proving yourself,” she said. “It should never be a prank for anyone.”

Interestingly, around the time auditions for the role were held in 2010, there was widespread fan chatter about Joe being the next Spider-Man. Demi Lovato he even jumps on the bandwagon to trend the hashtag: #joejonas4spiderman.

“When you’ve got a wife like Sophie Turner, who’s a phenomenal actress, filming you and walking you through it, you’ve got to bring your A-game,” he said of working on self-tape at the height of the pandemic. .

He continued: “He is my toughest critic. Yes, I will be a little nervous [but she’s] super helpful and I feel like a great acting coach to guide me through this. And I have him to thank.”
